Author Profile: Christopher Aldermann

Chris
Chris was released onto the world in June of 1976, and proceeded to grow up under the dictoral oppression of Salt Lake City, Utah. Raised on beer and potatoes as all good Utah Catholics are, he developed a number of peculiar traits as a child, including an unquenchable curiosity, a confused sexuality, and a keen sense of paranoia. Chris grew up fascinated with philosophy, science, religion, and all other things he had no business sticking his nose into. Raised in a socially repressive environment, and taught among the elite of private catholic school, it seemed only natural that his curiosity and demand for original thought would be his greatest failure. At the age of 20, he had reached the status of "Ultra-Goth" in the Salt Lake Scene. During this time of his life, he went on a year-long mission, and eventually became a fully legal minister for the Church of Three. Shortly afterwards, his life fell apart in tragedy that will not be documented here. In his recovery, Chris traveled across the ocean to the land of the rising sun. In Japan, Chris felt his life begin anew. With a kind and loving (if straight) boyfriend by his side, and loyal like-minded friends, he and his dreams grew.

Now a graduate of Utah State University, Chris holds his BS Degree in English, with a minor in philosophy. He left his boyfriend Joe when he came to understand that Japan was Joe's first love. But life was not empty for Chris, as he quickly found a charming Japan-loving lesbian girlfriend, whom later became roommate when they realized they never really would have sex. Currently, Chris has been favored by all the Shinto Gods by placing the goddess-like gamer-girl Nikol in his life. Chris has since found true happiness collecting anime, running the local anime-fandom club, writing short stories, bouncing from job to job, drinking lots of fine wine, playing far too many online role-playing games, and establishing himself as divine god-emperor to the primitive native inhabitance of a small island off the coast of Utah.

Currently revolving in Chris' computer-drink holder are: Shonen Knife -- Lets Knife!, Happy Hour, Larc'en'Ciel - Heart, Cher - Believe, Nightwatch - Oceanborn, Malice Mizer - merveilles, Judy and Mary - Pop Life, and all of Shazna. Period.

(Editors Note: You know as well as I that Utah has no coastline, and can their for have no islands. Chris has always been a challenge seeker, and thus, this geographical obstical has not yet stood in his way. I won't tell him if you won't.)
