Hitoto Yoh: Accordion

04.04.15
Artist: Hitoto Yoh
Title: Accordion (ext. version)
Words: Hitoto Yoh
Music: Takebe Satoshi

a one sided love
the shade of
a red well ripened fig
slightly losing its color
split in both hands

the corner of the music room
you forgot about
my open and shut yesterday
comes to an end

accordion as if unravelling smoothly between the thumbs
accordion with an innocent motion, unravel my feelings

I want to see you
ah, I felt you were here...
after fifth period *1
unable to go forward, I stopped
in the shadow of the foot locker *2

the stuffed fruit
will burst
unable to withstand it
I remember
how I dove into that classroom.

accordion as if unravelling smoothly between the thumbs
accordion with an innocent motion, unravel my feelings

accordion going through the quad, as if smoothly unravelling
accordion a feeling that doesn't reveal itself, stays with us.

smoothly unravels.

Translated By: Brian Stewart & Takako Sakuma

Translator's Notes: This is the single version that comes as c/w on the Darjar single. The main difference is, it's longer with more lyrics. The album version is the same up until the second verse. *s!

* 1 - Japanese school generally ends after fifth period. So another take on this line is "afterschool".

* 2 - The idea here is that she's following after someone, but she can't catch up to him because she's not wearing shoes though she's standing at the entrance to the school where the foot lockers are.
