Hitoto Yoh: Daajyaa
03.04.22
Artist: Hitoto Yoh Title: Daajyaa (Everybody) Words: Hitoto Yoh Music: Mashiko Tatsuroh There are things I realized only after I'd lost them but I can't make things as they were. When someone brings it up, it makes me want to see my Papa. I still recall the the ferris wheel at the amusement park. *1 Shall I go home, maybe stop by the grave *2 I may have found out what was important only after I'd lost it, but I can't make things as they were. it's such a cruel life, a beautiful life doing the same things over and over. My family said to their boyish daughter, as if she were thin air, "I see you've found happiness by hurting those around you." I can't undo what's done. How is it possible... that I can't even pretend to cry. Everyone is on their own. I'll burn myself out to get everything out of life, or I'll just die young, either way Don't worry about me, just stop it See, I'm making it on my own. There were times that even with physical contact my heart kept its back turned. It was a lovely dream. *2 There are things I realized only after I'd lost them but it's too late to make things as they were. I'm OK. I'm doing fine. Everybody. Don't you see, there's someone right here crying for you. CHINESE (Translated by: Minazuki Kaori *Thanks Kaori WE LOVE U) (Editted by Boo and JoJo with Dead Beaver) I only realized how precious it was after losing it Since then I can't go back anymore to the past I have trouble recalling. But you don't need to feel heartbreak Even if I'm on my own, I don't mind chasing alone like this Japanese Translated By: Brian Stewart & Takako Sakuma Translator's Notes: The title of the song, I'm told means "Everybody" in Chinese. The singer Hitoto Yo is a half Taiwanese half Japanese person. Supposedly this song is autobiographical. On to the *'s. *1 - Apparently, Hitoto was devastated by the loss of her father. This line seems to reference that. In the single version Hitoto says ano yuuenchi but in the album version the lyrics are yomiuri rando a specific amusement park in Tokyo. I'm not sure why she changed them. *2 - This line is written in English "so she tear" but it's the japanese word soshite which means roughly, "and then", likely it has a double meaning of... "then I cried" *3 - Takko thinks this refers to sex. That Hitoto is suggesting that eventhough she's involved sexually with men, she hasn't let love come into it. The "lovely" dream, sounds sarcastic.
