ah, a boy started talking to me at the school festival.
I wonder if I seemed like I wasn't serious?
that was my first time,

ah, I was able to answer him and talk
but he didn't seem like a serious guy.
I never thought we'd fall in love,
I never saw it coming.

we talked everyday for about a month
I waited... for him to call,
since he'd been the one calling me.

ah, my impression of him was wrong,
he's surprisingly serious
and what I really like is his cheerfulness.
it tickles me.

ah, I guess I don't care much for the winter,
I'm a homebody, but
looks like I'm going out.
I wonder if I'll be able to meet him...

We're meeting for the first time in a month
but it's not a bad idea to open my heart to him.

we don't seem to be getting anywhere,
like that couple that look so good doing it on a TV drama.
that's love.

I'm meeting him for the first time in a month
I've opened my heart.
...I'm a little scared.

Translator's Notes: The story from what I understand, is that Ayaya is just sort of indulging this boy's interest in her at first but then she starts to fall for him. That's why she's surprised when she realizes she's looking forward to him calling her. She hadn't realized she was in love until then.
