Glay: Happiness

Title: Happiness
Words: Takuro
Music: Takuro

for both of us, the dream is too innocent while awake, almost buried in the quiet solitude of the night.
it was like dragging heavy baggage, we arrived, the room had gotten cold, our bodies frozen.
to an uncertain future which nobody could see.

The motives aren't pure but, we could trust each other, you pushed against my cowardly back,
and then when we first began to know each other's secrets, the strict side of love danced about
what words should I say to you ?

Don't wanna hurt you anymore, tell me the meaning of your happiness
Hasn't it become the meaning of your life ?
Don't wanna hurt you anymore, tell me the meaning of your happiness
In a heart which can't reveal itself time just goes by.

a prayer goes to the sky, a heart still pure, in the twillight city a new life grows up, it must grab happiness.

Don't wanna hurt you anymore...

Sometimes I was alone in a confused crowd,
covering my ears from an argumentative voice shedding tears.
even if you live all these stolen days, have strength
In this world I dedicated Happiness to only you.
I love you... I love you...

Translated By: Brian Stewart & Takako Sakuma

Translator's Notes: the middle verse is so pretty. Its like a blessing. a new life growing up in a shining twillight city, and a pure heart, to the sky a prayer... I heard when Takuro composed this song, everyone said it was too dark. Now its very popular... you never can tell. I think the Glay-English of the chorus means tell me what would make you happy, because now I don't know anymore.
