Artist: Hayashibara Megumi Title: Matsuriuta (Festival Song) Words: Hayashibara Megumi Music: Kawai Kenji the wind sweeps to the source of the water unremittingly being lead the floating music at its mercy echoing off to eternity shaking back and forth to the endless heavens passing through time, coming and going to the transient floating world gather now my friends to the earth sing songs you've forgotten throw away thoughts you lost until we meet again very deeply sleeping time will go by. Translated By: Brian Stewart & Takako Sakuma Translator's Notes: hmmm. If you saw then anime Blue Seed by Takada Yuzo you might get this song more. I'll explain. Warning SPOILERS! Still here ? Ok good... at the end of the series the people come to understand that in their hectic lives they have forgotten the basic goodness of living, the very japanese essentials of drinking dancing and making merry. The way they battle the finale of the plant invasion is by having thier ancient Festival Dance, and by singing all as one they are able to avoid becoming plants by warming their hearts. It really was an intrigueing show I highly recommend it. SPOILERS OVER READ fROM HERE! That being said, this song is kind of a sweet lullabye to put the plants to sleep. The floating world was a kind of stae of mind in Japan at one time, in which it suggested that this life should be enjoyed, ukiyo-e (woodblock prints) captured this levity of soul and bareness of burden. The song is telling these people that they no longer need to grasp so firmly to their worries... they can be ethereal...beyond any of those base emotions. The voice of the song was done in the style of Momiji our feitsy Heroine. Very nice. Romaji To Be Added Romaji By: Brian Stewart |
