I fall asleep to
the rusted and forlorn ringing *1
of the faded wind chime

straining my ears, travelling through time *2
I play my fond memories of yesteryear

this heart shines, dreaming away peacefully
proud
the sunflower dressed in light
gently holds the dearly departed young man.

oh babbling brook
lure me back to those long gone days

when was it that I wept
at the odorless evening glow *3
when I rubbed my eyes, the song of my mother
again confused by those far off days.

this heart shines, dreaming away peacefully
proud
the sunflower dressed in light
gently holds the dearly departed young man

If I could go back to that summer once more
I would scream my dream into the distance
and I'd never forget
the voice that echoed back to me.

Translator's Notes: The Japanese word rin can be very tricky to translate, it means "severe cold" but often times it's used to talk about something which is frozen and rigid. Or gives off such an air.

* 1 - The kanji used means "forlorn" but the pronounciation and meaning is rusted.

* 2 - The kanji used here is also odd, it means "to soar high above" but the way Kagrra uses it, it means strain one's ears for sound.

* 3 - Another variation on a kanji, the kanji used means "to rise up/initiate".
