Artist: Kagrra Title: Tsuzure Uta (A Spontaneous Song) Words: Isshi Music: watching the days and months written out *1 looking at the many distant stars how should I express this feeling never to be reaped flickered back and forth in the dawn closing in floating in the wind of so many years merely in memory of the far off days *2 I dream of him again tonight, shall I make it bloom to color my cheeks? the seasons gone by leave a faint scent to wipe away comes into bud, bears fruit and once more scatters away waiting desperately for our encounter, again scatters away... ah floating in the wind of so many years merely in memory of the far off days I dream of him again tonight, shall I make it bloom to color my cheeks? withers and dies returns to the earth, once more remember a voice past never to be mine, never to be mine thinking of him eternally... Translated By: Brian Stewart & Takako Sakuma Translator's Notes: tsurezure uta refers to a song written in the spur of the moment. * 1 - I basically read this line two ways, it could either mean that the woman in this song is seeing time passing by in the dates of the letters she is exchanging with her love who seems to be gone far away, or that it's talking about a calendar. * 2 - The Chinese character used here is one for sunset. But it's sung differently. It seems like the kanji adds the image of "so many suns setting". Not just the days, but the sunsets. It's a little sadder, a little more romantic. Do you get it?
