01.05.17
Artist: Janne Da ArcTitle: Warning Words: Yasu & Kiyo Music: Kiyo & You tired of "the usual", i longed for stimulation, i even lost interest in the joy that brought me closer to peace. you're a little bit confused by my attitude. the tears that you hid in your heart with the same commendable smile you always give. a crack runs through the night i should fall asleep with our fingers locked together. i spoil the fun of your snide nightly play i didn't even notice the warning signs of love the words that were the last straw, only i was foolish enough to run ahead. i made it all out, as if you had just broken up with me. looking at me buried under a mountain of excuses scraped together. you just turn your eyes away, did you leave the past in your tears? you were like the ebb and flow of the rough seas, now i am just like, a castle on the sand. the waves that surge high, leave nothing but dreams you went away leaving me alone. the words that were the last straw, only i was foolish enough to run ahead. i made it all out, as if it were merely "fate". a crack runs through the night i should fall asleep with our fingers locked together. if i think about it, i felt kindness in your snideness I noticed the warning signs of love. now I can't reach to you, from so far behind i hate that me crushed by regret. Translated By: Brian Stewart & Takako Sakuma Translator's Notes: Let's start with the hardest stuff first. Uragaeshita Ai no Keikoku... We translated it as the warning signs of love. That's what it means more or less, but let's delve a little deeper into it. Ura gaeshita literally means to have turned something over... here's the thing. We can recognize love when it's flipped right side up, but turn it over and its harder to see. We wanted to translate it as "unrecognizable warnings of love" but signs says that and more better so we stuck with signs. the way they use "atokatazuke" sounds like "afterthought" in enlgish. Like after all was said and done, I made it out to be this way because the truth was too unbearable. Romaji To Be Added Romaji By: Brian Stewart |
