One of the clues to this is in the line "the carefree play between a burning passion and a naive kindness." The colors red and blue have two often used meanings in Japanese. Red means hot, or burning, enthusiastic, and blue means young, naive, immature. The red likely represents the woman where as the blue represents the man. The lyrics suggest that the woman feels guilty about letting things go that far. Another clue in the lyrics as to the story of the song is in the lines, "It's something we knew since before we met one another and until we fell in love" This line suggests that the singer and the woman knew things couldn't work out in a relationship like this, but they forgot about it when they were in love. Trust us when we say that the line in Japanese Aishita koto wo wasureru hito wo aishita wake jyanai is best translated as "I love you so much I can't ever forget you". The line is a sort of cyclical declaration of how much the woman meant to the man. The song sort of begins when the singer has to let go of his feelings and wish the woman luck with her new life.
