The Back Horn: Yuugure
04.01.14
Artist: The Back Horn Title: Yuugure (Dusk) Words: The Back Horn Music: The Back Horn I wanted to be pure like the powder snow I saw one day but I'm relieved by lies, living in loneliness. When I looked up, a vapor trail *1 it smelled of the winter, you so loved. riding the train, about midday there's a time when orange and blue mix together *2 and heaven is created it was our little secret. the cross walk, the train platform It felt like you were there with me back then I didn't understand why anyone would live for someone else unable to say anything, I smiled dully and a lonely look came across my face the dusk someday, I'll no doubt forget your soft skin, your kindness unable to believe in the dream I wished for upon a star I spit and fell in the street, "there's no way to live a pure life" It makes me want to see you, It pains me, I could cry so pitifully in the dusk. Translated By: Brian Stewart & Takako Sakuma Translator's Notes: Shine on *'s! *1 - This refers to the trail of cloud left by a passing plane. *2 - I'm fairly certain this line is interpreted as such: The two people in the song ride the train about noon, but it's a long ride, and there's a time nearer to dusk, when the blue sky and the orange sun melt into each other, and "heaven" is created. I think the song implies that they travelled a long distance together more than once.
